Land Surveying

Stetson Engineering, Inc. maintains a full time survey staff, including a licensed Surveyor. We do all of the surveying on our projects and feel that our projects flow well because of the close coordination we have between our surveying and engineering staffs. We have the capability of downloading our survey points directly into our Autodesk software. Once the information is downloaded into the software, our engineers can create a surface model for design.

Our surveying staff is very experienced in topographic surveys. We have also laid out flight control for a number of aerial survey projects. We can collect surface data by conventional means or with GPS.

We obtain written permission for all of our Rights-of-Way (ROW) work before starting any project. On most of our projects, we conduct the search of current landowners for survey permission and location of ROW. If ROW are needed, our survey staff prepares the legal descriptions and ROW exhibits. One of our return clients is Qwest Communications, for whom we have done ROW work since 1995 in Campbell, Converse, and Crook Counties. We also supply Qwest with Topographic drawings for design and phone line layout.
